In a world where code can be generated in seconds with the help of AI, testing doesn’t disappear — it becomes more critical than ever. But what does “quality” really mean when delivery speed is growing exponentially and applications are becoming increasingly complex? In this talk, I’ll explore the evolution of software testing from the perspective of an engineer who moved from manual testing to automation with Selenium, and more recently to modern testing using Playwright and TypeScript. We’ll discuss how the QA role has evolved within CI/CD pipelines and how AI tools like ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot are reshaping the way we write and validate software.Through real examples and a live demo, I’ll show how AI can accelerate development, but also how it can introduce subtle issues that only a well-designed testing strategy can uncover.
