Levente Tamas (Member, IEEE) received the M.Sc. (valedictorian) and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, where he is a full professor in the present. He participated in several postdoctoral programs focused on 3-D perception and robotics, most recently at Bern University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland. His research interests include 3-D perception and planning for autonomous systems. He is the Chair of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, Romanian Chapter and founder of Robotics.AI, as well as Nvidia Deep Learning Institute Ambassador.
