Hakan Meva is a Machine Learning Team Lead at eMAG with 5 years of experience in retrieval, ranking, and recommendation systems. He previously worked on fine-tuning LLMs for semantic retrieval, and now focuses on evolving ecommerce search from product-centric to need-centric experiences by combining the power of large language models with eMAG’s vast product catalogue. He is currently leading multiple agentic AI initiatives within the company, including iZi — eMAG’s conversational shopping assistant.
