Leena Liukkonen

Ms Leena Liukkonen has served as the Ambassador of Finland for Romania and Moldova since 1 September 2023. Leena joined the Finnish Foreign Service in 1989 and has since then engaged with  issues related to political, legal and administrative affairs among other things. Prior to her current position she worked as a Deputy Director General of the  Consular Services Department at Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Leena has also been posted to Finnish missions in Moscow, New York, Rome and Budapest. Leena holds a Master’s Degree in Law. She loves to spend her free time reading, listening to classical music, watching films and knitting.
