Matei Misarca, AI Engineering Chapter Lead in Digital Software Development Department, managing development in GenAI, TOBi, RPA and Pega areas. 

Matei has been engaged in software development for over 14 years, specialized in both frontend and backend technologies. Since joining Vodafone in 2021, he has been the Solution Architect for the TOBi project and for over than 1 year he is managing the AI Engineering team 

He took over the TOBi solution, the Vodafone chatbot, just after its launch, when it was a single channel solution (only on Facebook). During this time, new channels were added in TOBi chat, My Vodafone App & Web and WhatsApp; TOBi learned to talk, by enabling TOBi Voice and the Super-Agent instance for the call center and retail agents. During this time, the chat was expanded and was enabled for all customer segments, while transferring more and more conversations from other channels to TOBi. In his tenure as AI Engineering Chapter Lead, he started and expanded the AI team and worked to setup the governance and to deliver the first use-cases for Vodafone RO. 

On a personal note, Matei is married and has a three-year-old son. His interests include traveling, skiing, and watching quality movies, while most of his current free time is spent playing with his children
