Alexandra Alstanei

Alexandra is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Thales in Romania. She specialises in risk management, cybersecurity strategy and governance, and cybersecurity audits. She sees cybersecurity as a proof of quality in software development, driving a cybersecurity culture in all areas of the organisation and finding creative ways to measure growth.

Having lived in Denmark for 11 years, Alexandra previously spent 7 years at the LEGO Group where she helped build the cybersecurity team and strategy. During this time, she also worked as a PCI DSS assessor for 4 years. Alexandra holds an MSc in Computer Science with Cybersecurity from the University of York and a dual engineering degree in Information & Communication Technology and Global Business Engineering from VIA University College.

She is passionate about different cultures and is always looking to expand her knowledge by travelling or reading anything related to art, architecture, history, philosophy or even psychology – which she studies as a hobby in her spare time.
