Ignacio Carlos Blanco is a Senior Staff Software Engineer on Google’s Fitbit team, which aims at making everyone in the world healthier. He is a member of the Area Tech Lead group where he sets and drives technical alignment across engineering teams. He has worked at Google for 14 years, and has a passion for solving difficult problems to have real impact on users and doing so simply and with highest quality and privacy standards. Ignacio holds a master's degree in computer science from the Engineering School at Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Ignacio has worked and transferred Google offices many times over the years: Mountain View, Zurich, San Francisco and Barcelona. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his 2 sons and his wife, cooking and doing triathlons.
