Beyond the Stages: The Tech Areas That Shape DevTalks Romania 2026

What makes DevTalks special isn’t just the talks on stage, but everything happening around them. Since 2014, we encourage learning, meaningful networking, innovation, and professional growth at every step of the conference.

For the 13^th edition of DevTalks Romania, we have put together 8 dedicated tech areas over the two days of event:  

• TechEdu Area: a hands-on learning space for children aged 6–16, where they explore programming, robotics, and creative tech activities alongside our partners 

• Roundtable Area: where developers and IT professionals go deeper into real topics — from coding and LLMs to the latest technologies — in interactive, small-group sessions 

• Working Lounge: a quiet, dedicated space to take calls, catch up on work, or stay productive between sessions 

• VIP & Speakers Lounge: connect directly with international speakers and other VIP attendees over lunch and a beverage 

• Mobility Area: experience the latest in hybrid and electric vehicles, showcased right inside the venue 

• TestMyDevice Area: get hands-on with new gadgets, test devices, and explore tech through direct interaction 

• Grow Your Idea Area: a space for startups to gain visibility, connect with over 10,000 attendees and 80+ partners, and take their ideas further 

• Women in Tech Hub: a dedicated space for connection and growth, where you’ll hear real career stories, technical insights, and leadership perspectives, while expanding your network in a more open, conversation-driven setting 

Here’s what awaits you at the 13^th edition of the largest tech conference in CEE, on June 3^rd-4^th at Romexpo, in Bucharest. 

DevTalks Romania Roundtable Areas 

These sessions are designed for developers and tech professionals who want to go deeper in subjects that might also be emphasized on the stages, but still room for exploration.  Hosted across two dedicated Roundtable Areas running in parallel, the format allows even more participants to engage with diverse, high-impact topics beside the 14 stages.  

Small groups. Hands-on exercises. Direct access to international trainers. 

From Cloud architectures and LLM integrations to Flutter builds and emerging technologies, each workshop focuses on practical application, giving you the clarity and confidence to implement what you learn. 

Our very first confirmed workshop for 2026 is with none other than Joseph Katsioloudes - Senior Developer Advocate at GitHub. He will be taking you through LLM security in practice, where you’ll gain insight into real-world LLM issues, applying secure development practices, and discovering how gamified challenges reinforce security concepts. 

With only 25 seats per session, the format encourages questions, experimentation, and collaborative problem-solving.

Connection Opportunities at the VIP & Speakers Lounge 

The most valuable moments often happen in smaller circles. 

The VIP & Speakers Lounge is designed for those who want more than a front-row seat. It’s a dedicated space where international and local speakers step off stage and into real conversations - open, direct, and unfiltered. 

Accessible exclusively to VIP Pass holders, the Lounge offers a relaxed setting with catered lunch and networking moments across both days. It’s where you can go beyond listening and start engaging. Asking the questions that matter to you, exchanging perspectives, and building connections with real depth. 

Grow Your Idea at the largest tech conference in CEE 

The Grow Your Idea Area brings together aspiring entrepreneurs and start-up owners who are navigating the path from idea to product. Discussions here revolve around sharing support, go-to-market strategies, decision making, and the reality of building in tech. 

Whether you’re validating your first concept or scaling your product, this area offers both insight and visibility.

The TechEdu Area 

DevTalks is all about the future. And the TechEdu Area shapes the minds of the next generation of programmers and tech enthusiasts. While parents attend sessions, young participants play and experiment in a safe environment. 

Created for children aged 6–16, this space offers structured group activities in programming, robotics, and creative building - all guided by experienced partners in a supervised setting.  

The workshops take place throughout both days of event, in set intervals. We encourage timely registration to the activities, so all children have a place secured, but ad-hoc attendance is possible as well.

Our Working Lounge 

Between keynotes, networking, and hands-on sessions, sometimes what you need most is a moment of quiet focus. 

The Working Lounge is designed as a calm retreat within the energy of DevTalks - a place where you can step away from the buzz, open your laptop, and reconnect with your workflow.  

Whether it’s joining a scheduled call in the soundproof booths, reviewing code, answering emails, or simply reorganizing your thoughts, the space is built to support uninterrupted concentration. 

The Mobility Area 

Software is redefining mobility - and this area brings that transformation into physical form. 

By showcasing electric and hybrid vehicles within the venue, attendees can explore design, functionality, and the technological systems behind modern transportation. Brand representatives are on-site as well, prepared to discuss features, sustainability efforts, and innovation in the automotive space. 

Test My Device Area at DevTalks Romania 2026 

Some technologies are best understood through experience, not explanation. 

The Test My Device Area is your opportunity to get hands-on with the newest devices and smart gadgets showcased at DevTalks. It’s a space built around experimentation, where curiosity leads the way and interaction replaces observation. 

Dedicated partners bring their best hardware for our community to enjoy and create fun challenges that keep energy high. 

Women in Tech Hub

The Women in Tech Hub brings together industry experts in a more connected environment. Evolving from the Women in Tech Stage, this area has its own agenda and networking space, so conversations flow and ideas exchange.  

For the first time in this format, we are looking forward to continue empowering women in tech and give our support to the community.  

Making up over 37% of our dev attendees, women shape the direction of engineering, leadership, software development, and the future of tech. 

Curated around growth, you’ll: 

• Hear authentic career stories from speakers who openly share their paths, challenges, and leadership lessons. 

• Explore topics such as career transitions, scaling teams, innovation strategy, and navigating the tech ecosystem. 

• Engage in real conversations and ask questions in a more accessible setting.
