It’s tech season! Don’t miss DevCon and Empower Tech this November

Autumn always brings excitement to our amazing Dev Community. As the season unfolds, so does the anticipation for Bucharest’s most awaited tech events – DevCon and Empower Tech.

As we are deep in preparation mode, we are slowly ticking off our checklist before take-off. Every finalised speaker note, logistics need, and stage layout brings us closer to the last tech conferences of 2025 and the kick-off for DevTalks Romania 2026.

Because putting together DevCon and Empower Tech is not just about planning the flow of the event. It’s about shaping a space where innovation meets people, and ideas turn into tech progress.  

DevCon 2025: The Premium Tech Conference for IT professionals and software developers 

For months, our team has been crafting every detail of DevCon’s 7th edition, happening in just two weeks, on November 5^th-6^th at NORD Events Center by Globalworth in Bucharest. 

We aim to create a space where screens flicker with code, IT experts debate over the best frameworks, and the end of session Q&As are never ending. This year, with Systematic as the Main Partner for the 4th consecutive year, DevCon is raising the bar higher than ever.  

Over 2,500 attendees, 25+ industry-leading partners, and 50 international and local speakers are coming together for two full days of inspiration and hands-on learning – on 6 simultaneous conferences and masterclasses throughout the event days. 

We almost finalised all stages line-up, so whether you are a web developer, a Java enthusiast, or a cybersecurity expert, you can bookmark the insightful keynotes you want to attend, listed in the agenda. 

And what a lineup it is! The speakers joining us this year are experts from all over the world, with extensive knowledge, like:

And, if you’re looking to sharpen your tech skills, the masterclasses we have prepared for you offer hands-on sessions, where you work directly with international and local experts. 

Empower Tech 2025: The tech conference dedicated to leading women in tech and the men that support them. 

Just a few weeks later, we turn our focus for the last push of this year, finishing strong with Empower Tech, on November 18th, also taking place at NORD Events Center by Globalworth. 

Born from the “Women in Tech” stage at DevTalks Romania, and backed up by our community who reached 100.000 IT professionals over the years, Empower Tech is a movement that celebrates women in the industry and the allies who support their growth.

Our main goal is to create real conversations about inclusion, diversity, and the future of work in tech. For the 2nd edition, we’re expecting 500 participants - men and women who believe in progress through collaboration.  

The agenda blends TEDTalk-style inspiration with deep technical insights from international speakers: 

• The Intersection of Quantum Computing and AI in the Next Tech Revolution by Anna Beata Kalisz Hedegaard, CEO — Quantum Security Defence 

• Beyond vibe coding: How agentic programming and Kiro redefine the way we build software by Mikolaj Olszewski, Senior Software Engineer — Amazon Poland 

• Impact talk by Glenn Anderson, Professional Public Speaker  

Outside the stage, in the Expo Area, our partners are ready to help you explore solutions that could shape your next career move. Because Empower Tech is a space where professionals connect, share stories, and find the confidence to move forward together. 

A Season to Remember 

As the lights dim and sessions make impact, what remains isn’t just the memory of great sessions or inspiring talks — it’s the energy of a community that keeps growing. 

After the success of this year’s editions of DevTalks Romania and DevTalks Cluj-Napoca, our last events for 2025 continue the journey of connecting thousands of tech enthusiasts across the country. 

Just a few days ago, we hosted the latest DevAfterWork meet-up as well, at the EveryMatrix office in Bucharest. And it was an incredible event, filled with more than 70 tech professionals and networking opportunities.  

We are looking forward to next year’s DevAfterWork and Rooftop Dialogue gatherings, and we are aiming to bring together even more professionals from our community. But until then, stay tuned and register for the last two meet-ups of the year, with Vodafone (November 26^th) and Raiffeisen Bank (December 3^rd).
