DevTalks Cluj-Napoca is approaching with the speed of light and trust us when we say that it will transform the city into the most vibrant playground for technology and innovation. For one full day, the heart of Transylvania becomes the meeting point for top international and local speakers, talks, new IT experiences, and a community that’s as passionate about tech as you are.

This year’s edition is meant to highlight how AI is transforming technology and the real benefits it brings to our lives and work. From our three big stages, Main Stage, Java Stage, and Programming Stage to interactive Roundtables and Masterclasses, DevTalks Cluj-Napoca 2025 is all about learning, experimenting, and connecting with the best minds in tech. You’ll meet international and local speakers with years of experience, ready to share insights, demos, and future trends.

We’re excited to have BMW TechWorks Romania as the Main Partner of this year's edition of DevTalks Cluj-Napoca! And we’re not stopping here! On the 26th of September, they will be hosting a special satellite event as part of DevTalks Cluj-Napoca dedicated to the passionate and dynamic Cluj Java community (JUG) with the theme “Java Centric”.   

BMW TechWorks Romania is part of the BMW Group IT Hub. Their teams create the digital solutions that keep BMW at the front of mobility and technology from cloud platforms and data systems to software for connected cars and future mobility. It's a place where innovation connects people and technology working together. Their teams believe that creativity, collaboration, and advanced tech can drive change, in cars, in software and in everyday life. That’s why their role at DevTalks Cluj-Napoca it’s about proving how great things happen when passionate people meet powerful technology.  

As we're getting all things done for the 8th edition, we also want to announce a side event powered by BMW TechWorks Romania under the umbrella of DevTalks Romania, meant for the Java Community. 

What you can expect:  

- 30 min keynote with Jonathan Vila 🥑 ☕️ , International Java Champion, bringing global expertise and fresh perspectives. 

- 30 min joint session with Alexandru-Catalin Dinis & Petronel Tanco (BMW TechWorks Romania): Alexandru Dinis: A technical deep dive into the thread model in Quarkus, with a live coding demo where participants can follow along. 

- 30 min session with a world-wide Java Champion, Adam Bien. 

- and last but not least a panel worth an amazing panel with Olimpiu P. , Founder of JUG Cluj, Radu Orghidan - CTO at BMW TechWorks Romania, Adam Bien & Jonathan Vila 🥑 ☕️ . 

Together, these sessions balance theory, practice, and innovation, offering a valuable mix for both seasoned developers and those who need to level up their Java expertise. 

But JAVA Centric is more than talks it’s also about networking, idea-sharing, and strengthening the community that keeps Java development has in Transylvania.
