Cătălin Bălan is a Data Science Consultant with over 8 years of specialized experience in the banking sector. His work spans the full spectrum of data-driven solutions from customer propensity modeling, churn prediction, and segmentation, to building open-source ML platforms and operationalizing machine learning at scale. 

What sets Cătălin apart is his ability to take AI from concept to production. He doesn't prototype he ships. Internal tools he and his teams have built are now handling tens of thousands of interactions and documents daily, fully in-house, on open-source foundations, solving real business problems across OCR, search, and voice analytics. 

At IDS Consulting, he is also the internal champion of AI adoption, the person who pushes the team to ask not just can we automate this, but how far can we take it.
